Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role Play Game.

VRMMORPG.

It was the mostly-used title on news in the TV lately.

In a huge room of a certain dorm in Suginami, 6 guys and 7 girls, were sitting on sofas and floor, watching the TV.

It was about a VRMMORPG called Lost Continent, or LC for short.

There were many VRMMORPGs before LC, but then all the other companies decided to shut down their games and worked together with Veil Company to create the Best VRMMORPG of all time.

One of the guys stood and got out from that room since he got a message from his boss, the shop owner of a certain Yakiniku Shop in Suginami.

On his way to the shop, he saw a lot of people walking, or sitting on a bench with their phones out.

‘People sure didn't change since 10 years ago...’

The guy's name was Reis Izurugi.

He quicken his pace to the shop and saw the Shop Owner, Gato Kobayashi, with a huge amount of vegetables that he struggled to bring all of them.

He grabbed 2 of the Vegetable Boxes to reduce the weight he carried, but instead of thanking him, he was about to kick him.

But for a moment, time slowed down for Reis, and he effortlessly dodged Gato’s fierce kick.

“Wh-what are you doing, ossan?!”

“Oh! Rei-boy! I thought ya were a thief, Gahahaha!”

“Geez…”

Reis walked with Gato with 2 boxes of vegetables on each of his shoulder to the shop.

There, he saw a number of customers watching the huge screen on the wall. That was the Shop’s specialty.

“It’s as crowded as always, but it looks worse than usual… Wait, don’t tell me that mail asking for help was…”

“Haha, right! We need yer help, our Ace!”

“With this amount of customers… It must be hell for that guy…”

Reis sighed then smiled while walking to the kitchen to cut through the vegetables and meats.

"Ah! Izurugi-san! What are you doing here?"

"Gato-ossan mailed me to ask for help"

"Oh! Then we could get some rest!"

"Yeah, go take a rest, I'll cut these veggies while you do"

Matsu Sakamoto, his coworker during the Monday to Wednesday Shift. 

While he was resting, Reis cut through the veggies, then put them together with the meats, then Gato took them to the customers' tables.

After cutting through most of the ingredients, he watched the screen, and it was the time for the Talk-Show about Lost Continent to start.

After a bit of talks, the topic that he was interested in finally started.

“So, this game is going to be a groundbreaking game in the industry, right? Jin Asakura-san?”

“Yes, we did our best with the help of other VRMMORPG companies to create this masterpiece”

“A masterpiece, that sounds amazing! What makes it different compared to the previous VRMMORPG? Asakura-san?”

“It will be a game that will affect our reality. A game where a piece of game’s strength will be applied to reality. For example, those who are unable to walk because of their motor system, by playing Lost Continent, they will definitely be able to walk in real-life. It works just like a therapy. Then…”

While the news still going on, a lot of people in the shop started talked with each other, and mostly were thinking about playing the game since it was the masterpiece just like the President of Veil Company, Jin Asakura said in the Talk Show. Reis returned to the kitchen then continue the work again.

“Aight, that’ll be all for today, thanks Rei-boy!”

“You’re welcome, ossan”

“Here, don’t ya worry about it, without ya, most of the customers ‘d be hungry! Eat ‘em with yer friends at the dorm!”

“Thanks, Gato-ossan! Well then, I’m heading off now!”

“Yah, careful on yer way!”

Reis walked out of the shop with a huge package of yakiniku, then felt the warm wind of spring. He hurried back to the dorm after he ordered a [Gear] set from his phone.

'Masterpiece…. I wonder what game it is…. It would be good to be able to play with everyone else'

"... Next one is... Reis Izurugi, 19 years old, Shou University Student, VR Faculty... Wait, another one from a VR Faculty?" (Man A)

"Let's see, this was the one before that one, but it's not from Shou University, but Heiji University" (Man B)

"Hm... Nothing much is written in this guy's information detail, other than being an Ace worker of a Yakiniku Shop" (Man A)

"Well, at least this Reis guy isn't as weird as this Akira guy, this guy even add his 'strange power' to the information detail, weird right?" (Man B)

"Yeah, this Reis seems pretty normal compared to him. Anyway, let's get back to work" (Man A)

Hearing the conversation between the two, someone approached them from behind.

"Can I look at the guys you two were talking about?"

"Eh? A-Asakura-sama! Y-yes! Here you go!" (Man)

"Thanks, now go back to work, you two seems to have a lot of work to do"

Jin walked off while the two workers continue their work.

He looked at the name of the two orders, then he put them in his pocket.

His face showed a frowned expression while walking to his room.

He sat on the chair and put the two orders on his table, then someone that looked like a secretary came into the room.

"You come at the right time, Makoto-san, please put these orders as top priority right now" (Asakura)

"Eh? But the top priority are mostly conglomerates sons... If they didn't get their orders on time, they will-" (Makoto)

"There's a probability that these two are part of the [Meisters] that were written in the [Prophecy]" (Asakura)

The secretary woman trembled, then hurried and grabbed the two orders.

Asakura stood then looked over Tokyo from the skyscraper building.

"Shou University and Heiji University.... This is just like what was written in the Prophecy.... The [Prophecy of the Moon Eclipse]"

[If only that game didn’t exist…]

[A game, should have just been a game]

[But that game, changed everything]

[To think that…]
